A sampling of magazine cover concepts submitted through the Blown Covers blog. The Blown Covers blog (no longer active) was created by Françoise Mouly, art editor of The New Yorker, to promote her book of the same name. Weekly contests were held where anyone could submit cover concepts based on topics chosen by Françoise. The weekly topic was typically posted on Monday, with submissions due by Thursday morning. A wonderful community of artists grew from these weekly exercises, many of whom remain great new friends!
